Street Furniture

 

Street furniture is part of the common environment of a town and is in the main streets and squares, offering countless possibilities. There are several types of media, each with its own characteristics and aimed at very specific audiences. The great difference with other media in Outdoor Advertising is the contents of the message and the user’s attention.

Street Furniture is a nearby element, often found in waiting areas or slow, busy pedestrian areas.  Street Furniture allows us to address a highly specialized audience or an audience which is close to our business, using messages with more information than billboards and advertising buses, and giving pedestrians time to absorb the message.

Our catalogue on media in Street Furniture spreads across the main towns and cities on the Costa del Sol, including Málaga, Marbella, Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Estepona, Puerto Banús or other strategic places.

The main advertising media are:

MIPPIES AND BUS SHELTERS:

This is the medium par excellence. We usually find it on the edge of a pavement which means it is visible to pedestrians and drivers. It is often found inside Bus Shelters. It is made up of large sheets (usually 1.20cm wide x 1.75 high) and allows us to display detailed and spectacular information.

These panels usually showcase dynamic elements which allow the user to interact with the advert. In fact, some cities already have interactive advertising prototypes. However, we still have to wait a few years before this new medium settles in Spain.

We also find these 6-sheets with advertising space available in Shopping Centres, Airports and large, busy surfaces. Thanks to these 6-sheets, and advertising spaces on street furniture in general, within the province of Malaga, we can accurately segment our campaign to reach our target audience effectively.

TOTEMS, MAGNUMS:

Es un formato similar a los mupis, son más escasos pero mucho más espectaculares por su tamaño. Suelen ser circulares o planos pero de gran altura. Generalmente están ubicados en plazas y zonas de «espera».

En Totems y Magnums, normalmente se realizan campañas de una semana o catorce días, si bien en los casos de señalización o imagen son habituales los contratos anuales.

These are similar to 6-sheet posters. They aren’t as frequent but their size makes them much more spectacular. They are usually circular or flat and always very high. We generally find them on squares or “waiting” areas.

SIGNS AND CLOCKS:

Due to their usefulness for citizens, street clocks and signs are one of the most profitable and efficient mediums. Clocks and thermometers are usually found on crossings which are crowded with slow traffic and pedestrians. This medium creates an especially lasting memory in regular passer-bys as it becomes a point of reference over time and is checked on a practically daily basis, together with the adverts accompanying it.

Clocks and Signs are usually sold for one or two week campaigns, but it can go up to yearly contracts in the case of signposting or images.

FLAGS:

Flags are the favourite option to highlight local events. They attach a minimum structure to lampposts in the village in order to hang a poster. There are different sizes, but the standard format is 1.20×0.90m.

Flags are usually sold for fifteen days to a month due to their promotional purpose.

ADVERTISING ON PHONE BOXES AND LITTER BINS:

This is an accessible, well positioned and cost-effective medium. Even if it’s common to see large companies or national campaigns advertising on bins following a “circuit” format, these are also good to locate nearby businesses.

These spaces are usually sold for monthly cycles.
